I never had to wear much clothing suited for cold weather when I lived in California. Once we moved from California to Washington, I had to invest in some cold-weather ASAP. If you’re moving somewhere where the temperatures are below 60, make sure to take some of these clothing items with you!
When the cold weather is in town, I always wear my better sweater. It is one of the warmest things I own, and is totally worth it for the price!
On very cold days, I wear this vest over a jacket. The down jacket will ensure maximum warmth!
(budget friendly) | J. Crew Quilted Puffer Vest $34.50
While the budget friendly option may not be as warm, this is still a great and stylish alternative to pair with a jacket!
(or) L.L. Bean Boots $129
If it rains a lot, I would invest in some quality rain boots. Nothing is worse than wearing a cheap pair of not fully sealed boots aka wet socks!
(budget friendly) | ASOS Leather Chelsea Ankle Boots Before wearing Hunters, I would always wear these on rainy days. Rain water never seeped into my soles, and the shoes paired well with almost any outfit!
Scarves are my obsession! Not only do they have a practical use, they can also take a drab outfit and turn it into a stylish one!
When I come home from work, this is the cardigan I grab so that I can snuggle up with my fuzzy blanket on the couch! Get yourself a soft chunky cardigan like this one!
You have to protect yourself from the rain somehow! I like how this hood is big and can cover my entire head (#bigheadproblems) unlike some other brands!
Forever 21 Utility Jacket $30
For light rainy days, I wear this over a jacket. The top half inside is lined with a faux wool material. The one I own doesn’t seem to be in stock anymore, but here is a similar one: F21 Utility Jacket.
How cold does it get where you live? Currently, Seattle’s temperatures have been fluctuating between the lows of 38 to the highs of 54!
